Tối 20.9, ông Phùng Quang Huy, Phó chủ tịch UBND xã Thụy Hùng, tỉnh Lạng Sơn, cho biết tại thôn Đoàn Kết, thuộc địa bàn xã, vừa xảy ra trường hợp tử vong nghi do điện giật. Danh tính nạn nhân được xác định là ông N.V.P (52 tuổi), người địa phương.

Theo thông tin ban đầu, sáng cùng ngày, thấy ruộng bị khô nên ông P. ra khu vực canh tác để bơm nước vào. Đến trưa muộn không thấy chồng về ăn cơm, vợ ông P. gọi điện thoại nhưng không có hồi âm.
Nghi có chuyện bất thường, bà đã ra ruộng nơi chồng làm việc tìm kiếm và phát hiện ông P. đã tử vong gần vị trí đặt máy bơm nước, sự việc nhanh chóng được thông báo đến chính quyền địa phương.
Ngay sau khi tiếp nhận tin báo, chính quyền đã cử lực lượng tiếp cận hiện trường, đồng thời hỗ trợ gia đình lo hậu sự theo phong tục địa phương.
Theo lãnh đạo xã Thụy Hùng, bước đầu cơ quan chức năng nhận định, nạn nhân tử vong do điện giật trong lúc bơm nước lên ruộng, có thể do thiết bị hoặc đường dây điện rò rỉ.
Hiện vụ việc đang được cơ quan chức năng tiếp tục làm rõ.
