Ngày 15.9, Công an tỉnh Gia Lai cho biết các đơn vị nghiệp vụ đang điều tra, làm rõ vụ dùng xăng đốt ô tô của đối thủ vì mâu thuẫn trong việc làm ăn.
Trước đó, khoảng 0 giờ 20 phút ngày 10.9, Công an phường An Nhơn Đông nhận tin báo của người dân về vụ cháy ô tô biển kiểm soát 77A-146.xx đang đậu bên lề đường Trường Chinh, thuộc tổ dân phố Cẩm Văn.
Vụ cháy khiến chiếc ô tô bị thiêu rụi, thiệt hại ước tính hơn 600 triệu đồng. Qua xác minh, Công an phường An Nhơn Đông xác định phương tiện thuộc sở hữu của ông P.M.T (26 tuổi, ở tổ dân phố Cẩm Văn).

Nhận thấy vụ việc có nhiều dấu hiệu nghi vấn, Công an phường An Nhơn Đông phối hợp các phòng nghiệp vụ Công an tỉnh triển khai các biện pháp nghiệp vụ, tổ chức điều tra, xác minh, truy xét người gây ra vụ cháy.
Sau 16 giờ truy xét, Công an phường An Nhơn Đông xác định L.V.T (52 tuổi, ở tổ dân phố An Ngãi, phường An Nhơn Đông) là đối tượng nghi liên quan vụ việc nên vận động người này ra trình diện.
Tại cơ quan công an, T. khai nhận do mâu thuẫn trong việc buôn bán máy móc với chủ phương tiện từ năm 2025, nên rạng sáng 10.9, lợi dụng lúc vắng người, T. dùng xăng đốt ô tô nói trên.
Công an tỉnh Gia Lai đang tiếp tục điều tra, làm rõ vụ việc.
