Ngày 12.10, tin từ Cơ quan CSĐT Công an tỉnh Vĩnh Long cho biết đơn vị đã tống đạt quyết định khởi tố vụ án, khởi tố bị can và bắt tạm giam Trần Văn Trạng (47 tuổi, ở khóm 1, phường Trà Vinh, tỉnh Vĩnh Long) để điều tra về hành vi lừa đảo chiếm đoạt tài sản.

Theo kết quả điều tra, do cần tiền để trả nợ, năm 2023, trong thời gian làm nhân viên ngân hàng có chi nhánh ở Vĩnh Long, Trạng đã lợi dụng vị trí, chức vụ công tác đưa ra thông tin gian dối là có khách hàng cần vay tiền để đáo hạn ngân hàng, với mục đích lừa tiền của các nạn nhân.
Trong thời gian đầu, Trạng trả tiền lãi và gốc đúng hạn nên được các bị hại tin tưởng. Từ đầu tháng 3 đến tháng 4.2026, Trạng đã vay của các bị hại với tổng số tiền trên 73 tỉ đồng. Nhưng số tiền này Trạng không đưa cho khách hàng đáo hạn ngân hàng mà dùng để chi trả các khoản nợ cá nhân và mất khả năng chi trả cho các bị hại.
Biết mình bị lừa đảo, các bị hại đã làm đơn tố giác đến cơ quan công an. Hiện vụ lừa đảo trên được Cơ quan CSĐT Công an tỉnh Vĩnh Long tiếp tục điều tra, xử lý theo quy định pháp luật.
