Cục Đăng kiểm vừa thông báo chỉ định tạm thời 2 đơn vị thử nghiệm ghế trẻ em trên ô tô. Theo đó, Trung tâm Thử nghiệm xe cơ giới (VMTC) và Công ty CP Dịch vụ VCT được chỉ định thực hiện thử nghiệm thiết bị an toàn cho trẻ em sử dụng trên ô tô theo QCVN 123:2024/BGTVT, trong phạm vi được chỉ định và phục vụ công tác quản lý nhà nước.

Việc chỉ định 2 đơn vị thử nghiệm diễn ra trong bối cảnh từ 1.7, quy định mới về sử dụng thiết bị an toàn cho trẻ em trên ô tô tại luật Sửa đổi, bổ sung một số điều của 10 luật có liên quan an ninh, trật tự cũng được áp dụng. Theo đó, khi chở trẻ em dưới 10 tuổi và cao dưới 1,35 m, người lái xe phải sử dụng thiết bị an toàn phù hợp, trừ xe kinh doanh vận tải hành khách.
Nghị định 238/2026/NĐ-CP, có hiệu lực từ 15.8, quy định người điều khiển ô tô chở trẻ em thuộc diện trên nhưng không sử dụng thiết bị an toàn phù hợp sẽ bị phạt cảnh cáo. Đồng thời, nghiêm cấm bố trí trẻ em dưới 10 tuổi và cao dưới 1,35 m ngồi cùng hàng ghế với người lái xe, trừ trường hợp ô tô chỉ có một hàng ghế.
