Đợt triều cường hiện tại đang ở mức rất cao dù chưa vào giai đoạn đỉnh điểm. Theo Đài Khí tượng thuỷ văn Nam bộ, vào chiều qua (10.10) và sáng nay (11.10) mực nước triều tại trạm Thủ Dầu Một đạt 1,87m cao hơn báo động 3 là 27cm và vượt lịch sử ghi nhận vào năm 2025.

Tại trạm Nhà bè chiều qua là 1,74m, sáng nay tăng nhẹ lên 1,75m, cao hơn báo động 3 đến 15cm. Trạm Phú An chiều qua là 1,66m và sáng nay là 1,68m, vượt báo động 3 là 8cm.
Dự báo, đỉnh của đợt triều cường đầu tháng 9 âm lịch này sẽ xuất hiện vào chiều tối nay hoặc ngày mai 12.10. Tại trạm Phú An và Nhà Bè mực nước cao nhất từ 1,7 - 1,8m cao hơn báo động 3 từ 10 - 20cm. Còn tại trạm Thủ Dầu Một đến 1,9 - 1,95m, vượt báo động 3 từ 30 - 35 cm và trở thành kỷ lục mới về đỉnh triều tại trạm này. Đỉnh triều xuất hiện từ khoảng 16 - 18 giờ.
Từ chiều qua và sáng nay, đợt triều cường trên hệ thống các sông ở Nam bộ gồm sông Đồng Nai, sông Tiền, sông Hậu lên cao đã gây ngập nhiều nơi như TP.Đồng Nai, Vĩnh Long và Cần Thơ.
Đây là đợt triều cao trong năm, mức độ rủi ro thiên tai do triều cường ở cấp 2. Cần đề phòng nguy cơ ngập nặng do kết hợp mưa lớn. Hiện tại, thời tiết TP.HCM và Nam bộ vẫn chịu ảnh hưởng của dải hội tụ nhiệt đới, có khả năng gây mưa giông trên khu vực, có nơi mưa vừa cục bộ mưa to.
Đầu giờ chiều nay, mây giông phát triển có khả năng gây mưa cho nhiều khu vực thuộc các tỉnh thành như: Lâm Đồng, Đồng Nai, TP.HCM, Đồng Tháp, Vĩnh Long và Cần Thơ.
