Ngày 7.9, Cơ quan CSĐT Công an tỉnh Vĩnh Long, cho biết đơn vị đã tống đạt quyết định khởi tố vụ án, khởi tố bị can và bắt tạm giam đối với Lai Thị Kim Giang (43 tuổi, ngụ xã Ba Tri, tỉnh Vĩnh Long) để điều tra về hành vi tham ô tài sản.

Theo điều tra ban đầu, trong quá trình mở rộng điều tra vụ án trộm cắp tài sản xảy ra năm 2024 tại Trung tâm Y tế huyện Ba Tri, tỉnh Bến Tre (cũ), Cơ quan CSĐT Công an tỉnh Vĩnh Long phát hiện có dấu hiệu sai phạm trong công tác quản lý tài chính.
Kết quả điều tra xác định, từ năm 2023 đến tháng 7.2024, Giang là nhân viên Trung tâm Y tế huyện Ba Tri được giao nhiệm vụ thu tiền phí, lệ phí, tiền thuốc của trung tâm. Giang đã lợi dụng chức vụ, quyền hạn được giao để chiếm đoạt số tiền hơn 426 triệu đồng.
Hiện vụ án được Cơ quan CSĐT Công an tỉnh Vĩnh Long tiếp tục điều tra, làm rõ để xử lý theo quy định của pháp luật.
