Bắt 2 cha con trộm cắp dây điện để bán phế liệu

Tin từ Cơ quan CSĐT Công an thành phố Cần Thơ ngày 6.9 cho biết, đơn vị đã tống đạt quyết định khởi tố vụ án, khởi tố bị can, bắt tạm giam Lê Văn Khanh (40 tuổi, ở phường Vị Tân, thành phố Cần Thơ) để điều tra về hành vi trộm cắp tài sản.

Cùng hành vi trên, Lê Văn Nhàn (18 tuổi, con ruột của Khanh) bị khởi tố, áp dụng lệnh cấm đi khỏi nơi cư trú.

Theo điều tra ban đầu, trong khoảng thời gian từ cuối tháng 5 đến ngày 21.6, lợi dụng đêm khuya, Khanh và Nhàn mang theo kìm cắt kim loại, bao tải, đi xe máy dọc các tuyến lộ nông thôn thuộc địa bàn xã Hỏa Lựu (thành phố Cần Thơ) để cắt trộm dây điện chiếu sáng.

Cả 2 đã thực hiện trót lọt 3 vụ, lấy trộm số dây điện có tổng chiều dài hơn 250 m, mang về lấy lõi đồng bán cho các cơ sở thu mua phế liệu được hơn 2,2 triệu đồng rồi chia nhau tiêu xài.

Khoảng 1 giờ sáng 26.6, 2 cha con Khanh tiếp tục đi cắt trộm dây điện chiếu sáng có chiều dài gần 154 m trên đường Đồng Khởi, đoạn thuộc ấp Thạnh Phú, xã Hỏa Lựu. Tuy nhiên, việc làm này bị Công an xã Hỏa Lựu phát hiện, đưa về trụ sở làm việc. Tại đây, cha con Khanh đã thừa nhận hành vi phạm tội của mình.

Kết quả định giá hơn 400 m dây điện mà 2 cha con Khanh cắt trộm là trên 24 triệu đồng. Hành vi này không chỉ gây thiệt hại về tài sản, mà còn tiềm ẩn nguy cơ mất an toàn điện cũng như ảnh hưởng đến sinh hoạt, sản xuất ở địa phương.

Hiện Cơ quan CSĐT Công an thành phố Cần Thơ tiếp tục điều tra, làm rõ vụ trộm cắp dây điện nêu trên để xử lý theo quy định pháp luật.
