Về việc phát hiện nhiều hài cốt quanh gốc cây, tường rào cũ khi thi công tuyến đường Tây Thành (P.Hoa Lư, Ninh Bình), chiều 9.6, thông tin từ Ban Quản lý dự án đầu tư xây dựng P.Hoa Lư cho biết, đến chiều cùng ngày, các cơ quan chức năng đã phát hiện tổng cộng khoảng 80 bộ hài cốt.

Tất cả các hài cốt phát hiện đã được nhà thầu thi công tuyến đường, quản trang của nghĩa trang Mả Rứa và người dân địa phương vệ sinh sạch sẽ, an táng theo phong tục địa phương tại nghĩa trang Mả Rứa (P.Đông Hoa Lư, Ninh Bình).
Trước đó, như Thanh Niên đã đưa tin, trong quá trình thi công tuyến đường Tây Thành, các công nhân phát hiện nhiều bộ hài cốt chưa rõ danh tính.
Các hài cốt này nằm tập trung quanh một gốc cây và chân tường rào cũ, trước đây là khuôn viên Bệnh viện đa khoa tỉnh Ninh Bình, sau là Bệnh viện Sản Nhi Ninh Bình (tách ra từ Bệnh viện đa khoa tỉnh Ninh Bình).
