Khoảng 22 giờ 25 ngày 8.10, một vụ cháy lớn xảy ra tại cửa hàng xe máy trên phố Nguyễn Khánh Toàn, P.Nghĩa Đô (TP.Hà Nội).

Ở thời điểm xảy ra, nhiều nhân chứng phát hiện vụ việc kèm theo nhiều tiếng nổ lớn rồi lập tức thông báo cho lực lượng chức năng.
Phòng Cảnh sát Phòng cháy chữa chày và cứu nạn, cứu hộ (Công an TP.Hà Nội) đã điều động nhiều xe chữa cháy chuyên dụng cùng hàng chục cán bộ, chiến sĩ đến hiện trường triển khai công tác chữa cháy. Đến khoảng 23 giờ , đám cháy được khống chế và dập tắt hoàn toàn.
Tại hiện trường, bên trong cửa hàng có nhiều xe máy bị thiêu rụi sau vụ cháy. Vụ cháy không gây thiệt hại về người.
Trao đổi với Thanh Niên sáng 9.10, một lãnh đạo UBND P.Nghĩa Đô cho biết, cơ quan chức năng đang thống kê chi tiết về thiệt hại tài sản xảy ra tại vụ cháy cửa hàng xe máy trên phố Nguyễn Khánh Toàn. Nguyên nhân vụ cháy đang được xác minh, làm rõ.
Được biết, cửa hàng xe máy nêu trên chuyên kinh doanh các loại xe tay ga, trong đó nổi bật có nhiều xe mang nhãn hiệu Honda SH.
Cũng tại Hà Nội, tối 7.10 xảy ra cháy ngôi nhà ở kết hợp dịch vụ sửa chữa xe máy ở thôn La Phù, xã Thượng Phúc, khiến 2 người tử vong. Người dân xung quanh cho biết chủ mới thuê cửa hàng được 2 tháng, vừa làm chỗ ở, vừa làm dịch vụ sửa xe máy. Hai người tử vong là thợ sửa xe.
