Ngày 9.10, tin từ Công an xã Long Hiệp, tỉnh Vĩnh Long cho biết đơn vị vừa nhận được thư cảm ơn của ông T.V.H (ở xã Đại An, tỉnh Vĩnh Long), là người được nhận lại xe máy bị cướp giật.

Trong thư cảm ơn, ông H. bày tỏ lòng biết ơn đối với tập thể cán bộ, chiến sĩ Công an xã Long Hiệp vì trong thời gian ngắn đã nhanh chóng tiếp nhận, xác minh vụ việc, truy bắt thủ phạm, thu hồi xe máy và trả lại cho ông.
Theo Công an xã Long Hiệp, chiều 23.9, đơn vị tiếp nhận trình báo của ông H. (làm nghề chạy xe ôm) về việc bị cướp xe máy, trên xe có ví đựng tiền và hơn 300.000 đồng.
Sau khi tiếp nhận tin báo, Công an xã Long Hiệp khẩn trương triển khai các biện pháp nghiệp vụ, tập trung lực lượng xác minh, truy bắt đối tượng. Đến tối cùng ngày, Công an xã Long Hiệp phối hợp Phòng Cảnh sát hình sự Công an tỉnh Vĩnh Long và Công an xã Nhị Long bắt giữ nghi phạm tại Trạm thu phí cầu Cổ Chiên.
Thời điểm bị bắt, người này đang trên đường bỏ trốn lên TP.HCM. Qua làm việc, bước đầu, người này khai tên Trịnh Hữu Luân (18 tuổi, ở xã Châu Thành, tỉnh Vĩnh Long), làm nghề bán vé số tại xã Đại An.
Do chơi game hết tiền nên Luân nảy sinh ý định cướp giật tài sản. Ngày 23.9, Luân thuê ông H. chở từ xã Đại An đến xã Châu Thành. Khi đi qua ấp Chợ, xã Long Hiệp, lợi dụng lúc ông H. dừng xe đi vệ sinh, Luân chiếm đoạt chiếc xe máy cùng tài sản bên trong.
Với tinh thần kiên quyết đấu tranh với tội phạm, chưa đầy 2 giờ sau khi tiếp nhận tin báo, Công an xã Long Hiệp phối hợp các đơn vị liên quan bắt giữ nghi phạm và thu hồi tài sản.
Cơ quan CSĐT Công an tỉnh Vĩnh Long đã khởi tố vụ án, khởi tố bị can đối với Trịnh Hữu Luân để điều tra về hành vi cướp giật tài sản.
