Ngày 16.10, thông tin từ Phòng Cảnh sát hình sự Công an tỉnh Quảng Trị cho biết vừa làm rõ và bắt giữ Nguyễn Tiến Khanh (51 tuổi, ở phường Mỹ Thượng, thành phố Huế), người gây ra vụ trộm cắp tài sản trong cửa hàng Điện Máy Xanh ở xã Vĩnh Định (Quảng Trị).

Trước đó, vào ngày 17.8, cửa hàng Điện Máy Xanh chi nhánh Hải Ba (xã Vĩnh Định) xảy ra vụ trộm cắp tài sản. Hiện trường cho thấy tên trộm đã dùng dụng cụ chuyên cắt mái tôn để đột nhập cửa hàng từ phía mái nhà, sau đó cắt cầu dao điện tổng, phá hủy hệ thống cảnh báo chống trộm và lấy đi 33 chiếc điện thoại di động với tổng giá trị hơn 315 triệu đồng.
Vụ việc gây ảnh hưởng đến tình hình an ninh trật tự và tâm lý của người dân trên địa bàn. Ngày 25.9, Phòng Cảnh sát hình sự Công an tỉnh Quảng Trị đã lập chuyên án, tập trung lực lượng để truy xét, xác định thủ phạm.
Đến ngày 16.10, lực lượng chức năng đã làm rõ người thực hiện hành vi trộm cắp tài sản chính là Nguyễn Tiến Khanh.
Đáng chú ý, Khanh từng có 1 tiền án về tội trộm cắp tài sản, bị tuyên phạt 16 năm tù giam và vừa mới chấp hành xong án phạt vào tháng 3.2025.
Tại cơ quan công an, Nguyễn Tiến Khanh đã khai nhận toàn bộ hành vi phạm tội.
Hiện tại, Phòng Cảnh sát hình sự Công an tỉnh Quảng Trị đang tiếp tục điều tra, mở rộng vụ án để xử lý theo quy định của pháp luật.
