Có tới 6.000 m3 rác, củi theo mưa lũ dạt vào bãi biển phường Sầm Sơn (tỉnh Thanh Hóa). Ngày thứ 4 rác đổ vào bãi biển, chính quyền địa phương phải huy động hàng trăm người cùng máy móc dọn dẹp.
Sáng 20.9, hàng trăm người đã được chính quyền phường Sầm Sơn huy động ra thu gom, vận chuyển rác, củi trên bãi biển đi xử lý. Dự kiến ít nhất 2 ngày nữa bãi biển Sầm Sơn - bãi biển đẹp nhất miền bắc này mới trở lại bình thường.
