Ngày 15.5, tin từ Công an tỉnh Đồng Tháp cho biết, đơn vị đang điều tra nguyên nhân vụ tai nạn giao thông làm 1 người tử vong.
Theo thông tin ban đầu, khoảng 22 giờ 40 phút ngày 14.5, xe ô tô mang biển kiểm soát 61K-06.xxx do bà Gu Gixin (38 tuổi, quốc tịch Trung Quốc) điều khiển lưu thông trên quốc lộ 1 theo hướng từ Mỹ Thuận về Mỹ Tho (Đồng Tháp).

Khi lưu thông đến đoạn thuộc ấp 5, xã Bình Phú, tỉnh Đồng Tháp, xe ô tô bất ngờ lao vào nhà dân, tông vào một phụ nữ đang ngồi bán nước uống trước cửa nhà. Cú tông mạnh làm người phụ nữ bị kẹt dưới gầm xe và kéo lê khoảng 10 m.
Vụ tai nạn làm người phụ nữ bị thương nặng và tử vong trên đường đi cấp cứu. Tại hiện trường, xe ô tô bị hư hỏng phần đầu. Danh tính nạn nhân được xác định là bà N.T.N (65 tuổi, ở xã Bình Phú, tỉnh Đồng Tháp).
Hiện nguyên nhân vụ tai nạn đang được Công an tỉnh Đồng Tháp điều tra làm rõ.
