Một người dân tự nguyện giao nộp 10 con rồng Nam Mỹ cho công an

Ngày 1.10, tin từ Công an thành phố Cần Thơ cho biết Công an phường Khánh Hòa vừa tiếp nhận 10 con rồng Nam Mỹ do một người dân tự nguyện giao nộp.

Theo đó, 10 con rồng Nam Mỹ nói trên của anh Nguyễn Minh Tùng (ở khu vực Phạm Kiểu, phường Khánh Hòa). Anh Tùng đã chủ động liên hệ với công an phường để khai báo về việc đang nuôi giữ những cá thể này. Anh thể hiện mong muốn không tiếp tục nuôi giữ khi chưa bảo đảm đầy đủ các điều kiện, hồ sơ theo quy định.

Công an phường Khánh Hòa đã tiếp nhận 10 con rồng Nam Mỹ vào ngày 30.9. Đơn vị đang phối hợp với cơ quan chuyên môn thực hiện các thủ tục kiểm tra, xác định và xử lý, bàn giao số động vật trên đúng quy định.

Theo Công an phường Khánh Hòa, với những trường hợp đang quản lý, nuôi giữ động vật thuộc các danh mục quản lý, người dân cần chủ động liên hệ cơ quan công an hoặc cơ quan chức năng để được hướng dẫn, xử lý theo quy định. Không tự ý thả động vật hoang dã ra môi trường tự nhiên khi chưa có hướng dẫn của cơ quan chuyên môn. Đồng thời, người dân cần chủ động trình báo công an khi phát hiện các trường hợp săn bắt, mua bán, vận chuyển, nuôi nhốt trái phép.

Rồng Nam Mỹ có tên khoa học là Iguana iguana, thuộc Phụ lục II Công ước về buôn bán quốc tế các loài động vật, thực vật hoang dã nguy cấp. Việc quản lý, nuôi giữ, mua bán, vận chuyển phải tuân thủ các quy định của pháp luật.
